I enjoy putting together presentations for people with their help and their precious photographs to support them to tell their stories.

Laura’s story…

“I have been involved with the company for over 10 years. I have been privileged to meet and support many people in this time, shared many laughs and a few tears, enjoyed many celebrations and achievements, come up against hurdles and overcome them.

I have learnt so much and grown through my journey with the charity, the people I have supported & mentored and the teams I have been involved in.

I have recently worked my way up to a management role within the company and I will continue to learn, achieve and celebrate but with a different hat on!

The most rewarding part of my role is to see the people we support achieve their aspirations, wishes and trying new things, I continue to be amazed at the skills and diversity of our support teams and the pure determination and loyalty they display to always strive for better no matter what the challenges are.

I am very proud to have been a support worker with the charity, this gives me profound knowledge to be able to assist my teams support and mentor others.

What makes Cartref Ni different is the consistency and continuity we offer through the support teams and management structure, we recognise and celebrate that the people we support are individuals in their own right, on their own journey in their lives just needing a little support and assistance now and then to enjoy a full, meaningful and non passive life.
